JavaScript Job: Junior Test Consultant

Seriös Group are a boutique data analytics and testing consultancy based in heart of Newcastle upon Tyne but operating across the UK and with clients globally.

We’re boutique for two reasons. Firstly, size. We aim to maintain a size that will enable us to create a collaborative working environment amongst highly skilled consultants, allowing our graduates and juniors to learn from the best and not get lost in the crowd. Secondly, quality of delivery. We don’t mess around with our client deliverables. We’re procured to deliver quality solutions and as such we don’t plan to disappoint. All our deliverables are of the highest quality possible, and we are meticulous in our approach to achieve this. Ultimately, we aim to provide personalised and tailored solutions to our clients, providing the consultant time and attention required to ensure we deliver.

We provide technology solutions, and we manage the solution delivery end to end. Our consultants engage with our client teams but do not embed themselves into their teams. Our project deliveries can be fully managed by Seriös Group to the extent where we will develop and test in our infrastructure before deploying to our clients’ environments.

The technologies and project profiles we work with vary. We have projects delivering classic cloud data warehouse and analytics solutions in AWS, Azure and On-Premises. We also work in the IoT sensor space delivering analytics solutions designed to help our clients achieve carbon net zero and reduce their building maintenance and running costs.

Having formed in February 2020 we have built up a client portfolio in the big corporate space consisting of Technology, Financial Services, Real Estate, Facilities Management, Utilities, Manufacturing and Charitable organisations.

The role

As a result of continued business growth, exciting new projects and expanding our client portfolio, we are looking to expand our team with Junior Test Consultants. This is an excellent opportunity for Junior Testers to develop new and existing skills whilst working alongside a team of supportive and highly skilled testers.

At Seriös Group we are highly skilled and experienced in delivering test solutions. You will be involved from day one in our client projects to maximise your exposure to genuine project scenarios and technologies.

At Seriös Group, our employees personal development is important to us, which is why we offer practical, hands-on training in leading technologies with the opportunity to gain experience in cutting edge automation tools and frameworks, such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, C# and Java. As well as being trained in the creation of test automation pipelines to achieve CI/CD .

In addition to the tooling, we will also ensure you are trained in the technology agnostic processes and methodologies required to work in test automation. With industry recognised certifications being undertaken where required.

You will be mentored by Mid to Senior Level consultants with the aim of developing your technical and consulting skills from the moment you join the organisation.

Experience and skills

We’re looking for Testers with junior level experience. If you think you have what it takes to thrive as a Junior Test Consultant with Seriös Group and have an interest in test automation then we’re also keen to hear from you. We will mentor you throughout the process with the aim of developing your technical and consulting skills.

Essential:

• Minimum 2:2 Degree Classification ideally in IT, Science, Engineering, Mathematics or Business.
• Exposure to JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, C# or Java.
• Demonstrable manual test experience.
• Demonstrable analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Career aspirations to work as a client facing consultant in test automation.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to prioritise workload and work to deadlines.
• Confident and assured presentation skills.
• Enthusiastic and eager to learn new skills.
• Hardworking, conscientious and a team player.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £21,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
